Character and story concepts for a class focused on multimedia storytelling. I had originally made the two characters on the left, Alden and Mateo, when I was in 7th grade, and I wanted to revamp them for the assignment and give them an actual story. (The two characters on the right, Rumio and Dormaso, were newer additions.)

The story revolves around a world inhabited by animal-human hybrids (e.g. Alden and Dormaso), with Mateo and Rumio being special cases as shapeshifters.
The assignment also called for visual concepts of the setting and world.
Besides writing out the main story beats, this is about as far as I got with the project. However I think the world concept has a lot of potential, so this is something I'd definitely like to revisit someday!
